On Saturday Grandma Jean told Dylan that it was going to be her Birthday the next day and she wanted to know if he was going to sing Happy Birthday for her. He said, “How old are you going to be.” Grandma Jean told him, 60. He looked at her kind of funny and said, “Are you going to look the same.” She was laughing so hard and then Grandpa David came out of the Computer room and asked her what was so funny, so she told him and then he told Dylan, that Grandma was going to wake up all old and grey. Dylan said, “Like you Grandpa.” Which was even funnier.

The Wedding
I was in my friend Tiffany's wedding May 7. Heath and Dylan came to the wedding. I didn't see where they were sitting when I walked down the isle but noticed them when I was standing in front of the church. Dylan had a big smile on his face and was waving to me. Apparently during most of the wedding Dylan was asking his Dad "When are you going to marry my Mom, Dad?" and you know how quiet kids are. Heath kept telling him they would talk about it later. After the wedding as I was coming back down the isle the look on Dylan's face as he glanced back and forth from me to Bernie(groomsmen) I could tell that Dylan was confused and some what frightened as to what just happened. Bernie noticed as well so when Dylan and Heath came out of the church Bernie said Hi to Dylan; Dylan growled at him. Later at the reception Dylan and I were dancing and having a wonderful time. He did the chicken dance and the hokie pokie. SO CUTE! And spend most of his time there chasing girls. While the father daughter dance was happening Dylan was sitting on my lap watching "Mommy, why did you walk down the isle with that other guy?" Dylan asked. "That is Bernie honey, Ava's daddy." I said. "But why did you walk down the isle with him?" Dylan asked again. "Well why honey. Why do you ask? I asked back. "Because I was so embarrassed." Dylan replied with such a face. I tell you this kid of ours is something else. Cracks me up. Not soon after he came up to me and said he was ready to go. "I am having a lot of fun Mom, but these girls are just to fast!"

Uncle Chris, Meet My Baby Brother
Grandma Bobbie, Dylan and KBug took a walk to the cemetery to water Chris's flowers. As they were walking up to Chris's headstone Dylan said "Hi Uncle Chris. You don't know this little guy yet, but this is my baby brother Keenan." Awwwww
Dylan has always enjoyed going to visit his Uncle Chris; actually this is usually a must whenever he is out cruising the streets of Rose Creek. I tell you the first time that little one year old bend down and kissed his Uncle's picture and said Unc Cissss; definitely a breath taking moment.

Grandpa Is Made In China
Dylan bend down and whispered in Grandma's ear that Grandpa was made in China. He is pertaining to the fact that Grandpa is all broken like the toys that are made in China, which Grandpa is always telling him. "Everything made in China is junk!"
Just Like Grandma Bentzin
Whenever Grandma Jean and Dylan play candyland Dylan wants Grandma to read him the story first. Part of the story from the Chocolate Swap says, Don't be scared when Gloppy greets you, just give him a wave and a big smile and you'll make his day. Dylan looked at Grandma Jean with a big grin and said 'Just like Grandma Bentzin. I give her a wave and a big smile and I make her day." He is the smartest boy ever =)
Dylan likes to pretend that he is different animals; especially dinosaur's. The other day he was a Spineasorous. He was roaring really loud. He told Grandma Jean and Keenan that a Spineasorous shadow is as big as he is. Kbug started shaking his head back and fourth - NO NO NO! Dylan said "Yes Keenan!" Looking at Grandma he than said "I have never seen my baby brother lie before."

Preschool Birthday Boy
Dylan brought Batman cupcakes for all his classmates today. He was the star of the show and you could tell he felt very special. After class a lot of his classmates were coming up to him and telling him thank you for the yummy cupcakes and happy birthday. It was so cute. Dylan loved every minute of it.

No Crying Sign
Dylan and I were talking about his upcoming 4th birthday. I told him that Mommy is going to be so sad and probably cry because she can't believe her baby is going to be Four. "Oh brother! I am going to have to tell Daddy to put up a 'No Crying Sign' at my party then." Dylan said.
I'm Thinking About Sweets
While Dylan, KBug and Grandma Jean were playing Grandma Jean told Dylan to start thinking about what he wanted for supper. As they were playing Dylan started pushing KBug's head down on the pillow so Grandma Jean grabbed his arm. "That's it, I'm not thinking about supper anymore. I'm thinking about sweets." He informed Grandma Jean he said that because she grabbed his arm.

Mommy's Karate Trophy
Tonight Grandma Jean decided to give Dylan my karate trophy that he enjoys looking at when he is at their house. He looked very pleased "Since she's not a little girl anymore this can be mine?" Dylan questioned. Of course Grandma assured him yes he could take it home and should put it on his dresser. "I will put it in a special place." He said. I am very curious to find out where that will be. Dylan really enjoys hearing stories about Mommy and Daddy when we were younger and I think this trophy reminds Dylan that mommy was little once just like him. Of course Dylan is a lot different than most kids, or at least from what I remember of me when I was younger. I always thought adults, any adults were old. Dylan on the other hand doesn't think anyone is old, not even his Great Grandparents...... with the exception of Grandpa David and Grandpa Howie. He does tell them that they are old, but I think that is all in teasing fun.
