It's My Brains Fault

I was trying to tell Dylan to stop doing something.  He said "Sorry, my brain won't let me."  I replied "Sorry my hand is going to spank you."  He said "Spank my brain?"  I said "No spank your butt."  He replied back "You should really spank my brain. Its my brains fault."

First Why Did The Chicken Joke

Dylan: Why did the chicken cross the park?
Me:     Why
Dylan: To get to the other SLIDE!

I had never heard this chicken joke and listening to Dylan tell it was hilarious! He really surprised with the punch. =)

Nocturnal

Dylan:  Are bears nocturnal like bats?
Me:      Nocturnal. What is nocturnal?
Dylan:  Well, it is when they sleep during the day & are active at night.
My little smarty pants is all I have to say =)

He also informed me today that squid are part of the octopus family.

1st & 2nd Swimming Lesson

Dylan had his first swimming lesson on Tuesday June 8th.  Grandma Jean and I took him to his first lesson.  We could tell he was a little scared.  He grabbed my hand and he looked at me with the biggest puppy dog eyes I have ever seen him make and said you hold my hand & please come in the water with me, please.  I preceded to tell him that I couldn't go in with him and he seemed a little leery.  It was so hard to look at him and feel like I wasn't going to be there for him when he was begging me to be.  But when it came time to enter the pool I did walk him over to the rest of the kids and told him Mommy was going to go back over there and he seemed fine with it.  When I walked away Dylan latched on to one of the little girls hands that he was standing next to.  It was so funny watching him and we could tell that the instructor and the little girls were getting an ear full.  I just wish we knew what he was saying.  We asked him and he said that he told the instructor that he was afraid that he was going to sink and she said that's okay. They actually have the little ones doing a lot more the first lesson than I thought they would.  He had to swim the whole length of the pool, of course with his floaters, but still I was pretty impressed.  Every chance that Dylan got he climbed right out the pool.  He wasn't quiet sure about just bobbing in the water by himself. He did stay in a little longer each time though.
Dylan's second lesson Grandma Jean took him because I had to work.  Heath met them down there.  Dylan could see Grandma and Heath through the windows and he started to walk over to them. Heath and Grandma were both motioning for him to go back, but he kept coming.  He came up to the window and said, I have to poop.  They both just started to laugh. Grandma went in and got him and he wasn't kidding.  Dylan will have about 8 more lessons, so I am sure I will have more stories to tell.

Conductor Dylan

Dylan was waiting for me to get out of the shower. He had his train all set up to give me a ride.  He heard the shower shut off & hollered "All -a-board"

He Knows The Seasons

"Mommy do you want to know the seasons?" Dylan asked.  "Sure." I replied.  I really didn't doubt that my little smarty pants was going to tell me all the seasons, however I was a little surprised he knew them in the correct order.  "Do you want me to start with Summer?" Dylan asked.  "Sure." I replied back.  "Summer. Fall. Winter. Spring." Dylan responded with a smile.  I was so impressed and Dylan could tell.  I then asked him what do we do during all the seasons.  His answers were:  "Summer you play & Mommy's take their kids on buggy rides.  Fall you play & catch leaves. Winter you play & catch snow. Spring you play & smell flowers."
