Preschool Birthday Boy

Dylan brought Batman cupcakes for all his classmates today. He was the star of the show and you could tell he felt very special. After class a lot of his classmates were coming up to him and telling him thank you for the yummy cupcakes and happy birthday. It was so cute. Dylan loved every minute of it.

Our Little Actor

Hold on tight, grandma is driving!

No Crying Sign

Dylan and I were talking about his upcoming 4th birthday.  I told him that Mommy is going to be so sad and probably cry because she can't believe her baby is going to be Four.  "Oh brother!  I am going to have to tell Daddy to put up a 'No Crying Sign' at my party then."  Dylan said.

I'm Thinking About Sweets

While Dylan, KBug and Grandma Jean were playing Grandma Jean told Dylan to start thinking about what he wanted for supper.  As they were playing Dylan started pushing KBug's head down on the pillow so Grandma Jean grabbed his arm.  "That's it, I'm not thinking about supper anymore.  I'm thinking about sweets."  He informed Grandma Jean he said that because she grabbed his arm.

Mommy's Karate Trophy

Tonight Grandma Jean decided to give Dylan my karate trophy that he enjoys looking at when he is at their house. He looked very pleased "Since she's not a little girl anymore this can be mine?" Dylan questioned. Of course Grandma assured him yes he could take it home and should put it on his dresser. "I will put it in a special place." He said. I am very curious to find out where that will be. Dylan really enjoys hearing stories about Mommy and Daddy when we were younger and I think this trophy reminds Dylan that mommy was little once just like him. Of course Dylan is a lot different than most kids, or at least from what I remember of me when I was younger. I always thought adults, any adults were old. Dylan on the other hand doesn't think anyone is old, not even his Great Grandparents...... with the exception of Grandpa David and Grandpa Howie. He does tell them that they are old, but I think that is all in teasing fun.

Coo-Coo-Cookie

Dylan was trying to get a cookie from Grandma Jean.  She told him you can have a cookie if you say it correctly as she began to sound it out with him coo- coo- cookie.  Dylan looked at her and shouted ICE CREAM!

Here Is Your Beer

So the other day I asked Dylan to have his daddy grab me one of those bottles of pop he picked up for me last night. Dylan walks over to me & says here is your beer mom.  Guess I am not fooling him.

The Number' Free'

So I was reading one of my friends facebook status last night who is the mother of a child Dylan's age, which read: "Mom, I feel bad for some of the kids in my class, because they can't say it right - they say 'tree' instead for the number 'free'."...oh no. Do I have the heart?
So I looked over to Dylan and said Dylan say the number three. He replied 'free'. So I said free huh. He said 'FREE' So I said free. He than said Mom; free? or One -Two- 'Free'?" =)

Girls Like Boys That Dance

I wanted Heath to play Just Dance 2 with us.  "I don't dance." Heath responded.  "But Dad, girls like boys that dance." Dylan commented.

The Candy-Bar

Dylan and I were driving past the Mapleview Lounge this morning so I said there's the Candy-Bar.  Dylan calls it this because him and Grandpa David would stop there on walks this summer so Grandpa could get cigarettes and Dylan would get a treat and an orange pop.  Dylan replied "Icky"  I didn't reply back but I looked in the review mirror and notice his mind turning.   "Do kids turn into donkeys from drinking orange pop?" Dylan asked with a somewhat worried look.  I busted out laughing and assured him they did not.  If you don't understand refer to Pinocchio.  LOL

I Like My Ham Hidden

Dylan had a play date yesterday with his friend Ryan.  Ryan's mom Tiffany gave the kids ham and mashed potatoes for dinner.  When I give Dylan ham and potatoes I slice the ham up real fine and mix it in with the potatoes because Dylan is such a fussy eater.  While Dylan was eating he told Tiffany "This is good, but I usually like my ham hidden."  And here I thought I was fooling him.

Just Dance 2

Grandma Jean and Great Aunt Jackie got in on the action of Just Dance 2 on the Wii at our family Christmas last weekend.  Dylan was busy playing with Jaydrien when Great Aunt Candy walked over to him and said Dylan look at Grandma Jean.  Dylan turned and look.  "Oh brother, would someone please take that remote away from her!" he said.   I seriously don't know where this kid comes up with this stuff.  He is a hoot!
